Microsoft Splits Teams and Office Globally
Microsoft has announced a major organizational change by splitting its Teams and Office divisions globally. This move is aimed at increasing focus and efficiency within each product group.
The decision comes as Microsoft continues to see strong growth in both Teams, its collaboration platform, and Office, its suite of productivity tools. By separating the two divisions, Microsoft hopes to better serve the unique needs of each product and its respective customer base.
According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, “This move allows us to fully leverage the strengths of each product group and drive innovation at a faster pace. By aligning our teams more closely with their specific product goals, we believe we can better meet the needs of our customers.”
With this split, Microsoft plans to dedicate additional resources and focus on further developing both Teams and Office to deliver new features and improvements to users around the world.
